Our Vision:
We are dedicated to helping women get into the best shape of their lives while having fun and staying challenged. We are purposefully building a supportive, inclusive community that encourages healthy and sustainable fitness.

Julia Franklin, Owner & Instructor:

I am a passionate fitness professional, with 3 kids in local schools, 2 dogs, and a supportive husband who believes in my passion. I love living in Niwot, and it is a dream come true to build a fitness business in this community. I am an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor, as well as certified in TRX Suspension Training, Tabata Boot Camp, STRIKE Kickboxing, Bender Barre, PiYo Live, and KettleWorX.

My passion for group fitness started in my 20's. Until the age of 21, I had never walked into a gym, run a mile, or even played a sport. I know first-hand how it feels to be overweight, sluggish, frustrated, and overwhelmed by strenuous physical activity. In college, working at Chili's and living off of chips & salsa, a friend introduced me to group fitness classes, and I was hooked! Over the course of my early 20's I lost 25 pounds and came to love my "me" time at the gym.

The physical benefits of consistent exercise are endless, but I am most inspired by the ripple effects exercise has on our mental and emotional states. When we feel more powerful physically, we act more powerfully in other aspects of our lives as well. I love teaching these classes, and I am constantly inspired by the camaraderie, the shared positive energy, and the results we achieve together!

Amy Bumgarner, Barre Instructor:

Amy studied classical ballet for 20 years, attended the School of Arts in San Francisco, and performed through her 20's in theatre, ballet and fashion. She followed that up with a successful real estate career, two children (now ages 12 and 15), and a martial arts Black Belt in Muay Thai. Amy enjoys racing, triathlons, cardio-dance, and Begin Fit classes, but her first love remains ballet-inspired fitness.

Amy is a certified Group Fitness Instructor and Ballet Barre Fitness Instructor, and she loves to share her passion with Begin Fit clients. Her Barre Class includes a variety of low-impact exercises that will lengthen and strengthen your body.
